These awesome easy air fryer flatbreads are a bit like a cross between a pitta (they open out so you can fill them) and a roti (they are amazing for dipping in soup and curries. They are so easy to make and the air fryer was an experiment that worked perfectly.
Makes four 14-15cm rounds.
You’ll need:
1/2 cup of white flour
1/8 water
A pinch of salt
A slosh of oil (I used organic olive)
How to:
Mix everything together but add the water gradually so it doesn’t become too wet. You should be able to knead it easily. Place in a bowl and leave for 15 minutes. Then cut into four pieces and roll each one out individually between two pieces of baking paper. Place them all on the crisp plate in your air fryer and bake for 2 minutes on each side until it bubbles and crisps up like the picture. Keep checking it as all air fryers vary, and when it looks ready turn over for the second side. Remove from the oven and eat right away, or they keep really well for a couple of hours. Enjoy!
